How we rate Candy AI Shorts, step by step

Every score on this site comes from one fixed grid, applied the same way to every short. Here it is in plain words, points included.

1Mild

Spice level

Story4/5
Value2/5
18+

Everyone in these stories is an adult (18+). Candy AI Shorts are fiction with AI characters, and our ratings describe tone, never explicit content.

The grid at a glance

ScoreWhat counts
Spice 1 to 5Candy categories (Cuckold, Nympho, Taboo weigh most; Fantasy lowers), bold or soft words in the title and premise, a forbidden pairing
Story 1 to 5How detailed the set-up is, number of episodes, number of characters, fantasy world, plot hooks
Value 1 to 5Tokens per paid episode, length of the free episode 1, a running sale, extra free episodes, long series at the low price

We built the grid so that two similar shorts always get the same scores, whoever looks at them. It reads what Candy AI shows for each short: its category, title, premise, episode count, token price and free episodes. Data was checked in October 2026. The points below are our own scoring rules, not statistics.

Spice: how bold the premise is

Spice starts from the category Candy AI files a short under. Cuckold and Nympho shorts get 2 points, Taboo gets 1.5, and the MILF, Wife, Stepmom, Stepsister, Maid, Professor and adult star categories get 1. Fantasy takes a point away, since those stories tend to lean on adventure.

Then we read the title and premise. Each bold word adds half a point, up to 2 points; each soft word, such as romance, wedding or kingdom, removes half a point, down to minus 1.5. A forbidden pairing, like step-family, a partner's relative or a babysitter set-up, adds a full point.

From spice points to chili level

The total decides the level. Under 1 point is Mild, under 2 is Warm, under 3.5 is Hot, under 4.5 is Spicy, and anything above is Scorching. The Hot band is the widest on purpose: many shorts have one bold angle, and only the ones that stack several reach Spicy or Scorching.

Spice never measures explicitness. It measures how far the premise leans into tension or something off limits.

Story: how much there is to follow

Every short starts at 2. A detailed set-up of 35 words or more adds a point, and a thin one under 20 words takes a point away. Seven episodes or more add a point, as does a cast of two characters or more. A fantasy world adds one, and so do at least two plot hooks, such as a secret, a rule, a deal or a deadline.

The result is kept between 1 and 5. That is why YES MA'AM, with a long run and a full set-up, reaches Story 5.

Value: what you get for your tokens

Value starts with the price of a paid episode: 3 points at 12 tokens, 1.5 at 30 tokens and 0.5 at 50 tokens. A free first episode of 70 seconds or more adds a point; one under 50 seconds removes one. A sale running on Candy AI adds a point, three free episodes add one, and seven episodes or more at 12 tokens add half a point.

We round up and keep the score between 1 and 5. Prices behind it are on our pricing page.

Why a fixed grid

A reviewer's mood changes; a grid does not. Fixed rules mean a Hot short today is Hot for the same reasons as one rated last month, and you can check our work against what Candy AI shows. When Candy AI changes a title, a category or a price, we run the grid again and the score follows.

The grid has limits. It cannot tell whether dialogue is sharp or a character is charming, so read the notes on each page, and use the ratings hub to compare shorts that share a level.

Questions

Who decides which words count as bold or soft?

We keep a fixed word list and apply it to every title and premise. A word either is on the list or is not, so the same premise always gets the same points.

Does a sale change a short's score?

Only Value, and only while the sale runs. Spice and Story never depend on price.

Why can Value be high on a pricey series?

It rarely is. A 50 token short starts with very few points, so it needs a long free opening and other bonuses to climb, and most do not.
